Submit Your Application
Submit your MCSD Magnet Application online beginning in mid October and ending in mid January.
Move to the Columbus area after the admissions deadline? Submit a paper application via email to our magnet director.
Select Your Test Date
Select an admissions test date via the online application. The test is 3 hours long and consists of three portions: Math, English, and Essay. Bring a pencil and a blue or black ink pen with you to test. You must receive a testing confirmation letter from the magnet office in order to participate in a testing session.
Await Decision Day
After testing, decisions are announced via the online application site on a designated date in mid February. Students have one week to decide which magnet school they will attend based on the offers extended through the online application. Students who select CHS will receive an enrollment package in the mail after the online decision is confirmed.
Things to know before applying
Completing the MCSD Magnet Application is required for all students applying to Columbus High School. The online application must be submitted prior to testing. Students will be contacted by CHS to confirm a testing date.

When to Test?
