Science is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe. At Columbus High School, students explore various fields stretching from the material world of physics to the virtual realm of computers and everything in between.

Explore the mechanisms of the world around you. Through studies and experiments, students learn about the natural world and gain an understanding the importance of research.
Think procedurely. Learn how to apply concepts to solve real world problems dealing with a variety of topics, like genetics, rockets, stoichiometry, and much more.
Learn to communicate ideas. It isn't enough to produce results, you have to explain what you arrived at. How to clearly state what you learned from your experimentation is an important skill you'll develop and reinforce.
Launch lifelong learning. With time, patience, and plenty of hard work, you'll develop the skills required to answer the questions that have been begging to be answered.
