Superintendent Barge Names 462 Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools


February 24, 2014 – State School Superintendent Dr. John Barge today named 462 Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools. 

"There are so many Georgia schools that have great success with Advanced Placement," Superintendent Barge said. "I am so pleased to see this success grow to more and more of our schools this year. These achievements can be attributed to the outstanding students and teachers at each of our AP Honor Schools." 

Beta Club - The Beta Club meets in the auditorium after school on Tuesday, 11 Feb.

Straight A Students are honored - The National Honor Society would like to congratulate all students who made all A's for the second 9 weeks.  Please come enjoy a slice of cake in your honor on Tuesday, February 11 during all lunches.  A list of all students who made all A's will be checked at the cake table.

Columbus High School JROTC established a mentoring partnership with Brewer Elementary School.  The Mentoring Program is known to Brewer students as the Buddy Program;  the Buddy Program is focused on assisting K-5 grade
