Rifle Team - Congratulations to the rifle team for winning the sectional match of the 1st rounds of the state playoffs. They defeated Caver-Atlanta1154 to 930 and advanced to the semi- final match.  Veronica Leggett led all shooters with a score of 291 follow by Kelly Orck (288),  Sierra Moon (288), and Josh Gonzales(287). Way to Go Blue Devils!


POETRY Slam - The National Alliance on Mental Illness, Columbus chapter, will sponsor their first Poetry S.L.A.M.S. (Students Living Amidst Mental Stigmas) on Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m. in the Studio Theatre of the River Center for the Performing Arts.  Tickets are $10 and are available at the River Center Box Office.  Students who would like to submit poems may find an explanation of rules in the pamphlet rack outside the guidance offices.


Envirothon - This group has a meeting on Friday, March 28th at 3:30 in room 122.

 College Presentation - A college representative from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss)will visit CHS on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. (ORANGE DAY) in the Guidance Office. You must sign up at least 24 hours in advance and have your teacher sign a pass in order to attend the meeting.

Latin Honor Society -  This group will meet Friday immediately after school.  Seniors are required to attend.
