Region Champions!- Please congratulate the Girls Tennis TeamThey beat Carrollton yesterday in the region tournament to become region champs!

Thursday, 24 April is Senior Cap & Gown photo Day - All seniors (boys and girls) must wear a white collar shirt.  You may bring it and put it on only for the photo, but if you don't have one, you will have to wear a fake white collar that Lifetouch provides.

            Boys must also wear a dark-colored neck tie, or one will be provided.

If you have any questions, see Coach Perry in room 310.

            Make-ups - If you miss these photos on Thursday, you will have to go to Lifetouch Studios on Saturday May 17th.  You must call them first to arrange an appointment. 706-568-1650

Volunteers are needed - The Chattahoochee Valley Library System is now taking applications for their Summer Volunteer Program. If you are interested in signing up to complete your CHS Summer 2014 volunteer hours with the Chattahoochee Valley Library System, please meet with Mrs. Bynam briefly on Friday April 25th, 2014 in room 209 IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCHOOL! CVLS completes their own process for selecting summer volunteers and all paperwork must be submitted to the Main Library by April 30th Volunteer space is limited!

 

If you have been invited to be inducted into the BETA Club - There will be a practice for the BETA Club induction ceremony on Monday, April 21st at 3:30 in the auditorium. It should last approximately 30 minutes. We will practice the ceremony. Please be in attendance.

 

To Be or Not To Be... - Auditions for the ACTING/PRODUCTION CLASS for 2014-15 (next school year) will be next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, April 22 – 24, from 3:45 – 5:00.  Auditions will be held in Room 112. Those interested, please prepare a 1 minute monologue of your choice to be presented from memory.  You should sign up for a group time slot.  There will be 10 people admitted for each time slot. You may leave after you’ve performed.

Spring Pictures - You may still sign up on the list posted on Coach Perry's door (room 310).  The list will stay up until Tuesday, April 22nd. This is open to anyone in any grade including seniors.  Also, you may choose to take pictures in groups with your friends if you like, but you must specify that when you sign up.  Spring Picture Day is Thursday the 24th.

 

Relay For Life Shootathon - The Relay for Life Shootathon will be held in the Armory - April 14-18. All students must fill out the waiver form to participate. Students may shoot during lunch and with their teacher's permission. 

 

The Academic Letters of Distinction applications are available in the guidance office until April 18 -  The Academic Letter of Distinction is an award that is presented at the Day of Distinction.  The award recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship and leadership in various categories.  A minimum overall grade point average of 3.75 (AP courses ONLY will be weighted) is required for consideration. Completed applications must be turned in to the guidance office no later than Tuesday, April 22. All grade levels are eligible to complete applications.
